Set in Stone

It is an inherent part of the life of each project to leave our imprint at the door. For Stone it simbolizes the pride we feel in our work.
The Stone plate is made of portuguese limestone, a working stone that has been an important trait in history of the city of Lisbon. A chalky rock formed in warm shallow and clear sea waters, it is essentially extracted from the Lisbon and surrounding areas. It has been used though-out Portuguese history and still is used in structural and ornamental elements of today’s buildings. Limestone (Lioz in portuguese) is prominent in Portuguese historic buildings, namely the Jerónimos Monastery, The Belém tower, the Terreiro do Paço and later the Rossio train station.
